This guide will include information about private golf courses in Little Rock, Arkansas and the surrounding area. This is not a ranking of the courses, but simply an informational post about the options for private golf in the Little Rock area.
The Alotian Club- Roland
Founded in 2004, the Alotian Club is consistently ranked as the best golf course in Arkansas and is also the hardest tee time to get in the state. The course sits west of Little Rock in the hills around Lake Maumelle. Warren Stephens, the President and CEO of Stephens Inc., built The Alotian Club and modeled the club after Augusta National, where he is a member. Warren’s father, Jack Stephens, was the Chairman of Augusta National from 1991-98.
The Country Club of Little Rock- Little Rock
The Country Club of Little Rock overlooks downtown Little Rock from a hilltop in the Pulaski Heights neighborhood of the Arkansas capitol. The club was founded in 1902 and is one of the oldest clubs west of the Mississippi River.

Pleasant Valley Country Club- Little Rock
Pleasant Valley Country Club was built in 1968 and designed by architect Joe Finger. The 27-hole facility switched to Bermuda grass greens in 2009 to provide better putting surfaces year round, especially in summer. The course stretches out to over 7100 yards from the back tees for 18 holes.

Chenal Country Club- Little Rock
Chenal Country Club is a 36-hole facility with the Founders and Bear’s Den courses. Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed both courses. The Founders course has Zoysia fairways and Tif Eagle Bermuda greens that were recently renovated. This course is more open and friendly off the tee than the Bear’s Den 18, which has tighter, more tree-lined fairways. The Bear’s Den course also has Zoysia fairways but has Bentgrass greens.
Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club- Little Rock
Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club is a Lindsey Management golf course and is home to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock men’s and women’s golf teams. The course plays just under 7000 yards from the back tees and has five teeing options, including the shortest option at 4700 yards. The fairways are Bermuda grass and the greens are Champion Bermuda. Water comes into play on around half of the holes. While Eagle Hill is private, they do have tee times available on golfnow.com.

Maumelle Country Club- Maumelle
The Maumelle Country Club is a private course just north of the Arkansas River in Maumelle, Arkansas. It is one of the longer courses in central Arkansas as it stretches out to almost 7500 yards from the back tees. There are 6 teeing options for players of all skill levels and that is not including a junior set of tees intended for young players just learning the game. The Maumelle Classic golf tournament is held every year on the course for almost 50 years and attracts many of the best players in the state.
Hurricane Golf and Country Club- Bryant
Hurricane Golf and Country Club is a Lindsey Management property in Bryant, Arkansas. It is one of the better Lindsey Management courses we have played but has some unique quirks that take away from the overall experience. The course switched to Bermuda greens several years ago after having some major issues keeping some of the Bentgrass greens alive during the summer months. The course plays just over 6800 yards from the back tees and has a variety of tees for all skill levels.

Rolling Hills Country Club- Cabot
Rolling Hills Country Club is a member-owned golf course that opened in 1966. It was updated in 2006 when the greens were updated to Tif Eagle Bermuda grass. The course plays around 6500 yards from the back tees.
